 1955 Maxim Pumper (L), 1940 Ford Pumper (R), Engine 3 the 1940 Ford Pumper, Separate 500 GPM pump, 250gal. tank engine mounted in rear.  The person on rear tailboard would hold on & start pump while enroute.  Carries flood lights & brush equipment. Retired in early 1960's
Click To Enlarge 1955 Maxim Pumper Eng. 4.  500gal. tank, 750 GPM.  All turnout gear was carried on outside of engine.  When it rained the gear became wet. On those rainy days firefighters would have to put on wet gear.  In service 27 years.
Click To Enlarge 1982 GMC Ranger 500gal. tank, 1000 GPM pump.  Vehicle was light in front & it would tip up.  Manufacturer added 800# of lead plates under front bumper.  This was the first commercial pumper made with front suction.  In service 15 years.
Click To Enlarge 1997 Pierce Saber 500gal. tank, 1500 GPM pump. 4kw generator.  Engine mounted &  portable deck gun.  1200' 4" LDH, 600' 3", two 250' 1 3/4" attack lines, one 300' 1 3/4 attack line, 15' 6" soft suction hose, one 100' 1 3/4" trash line on front bumper.  The company had to raise the door opening 15" before we ordered the engine.  This unit is an award winning Class A pumper, responding to approx. 400 calls a year.
